Tiger King Season 2 First Trailer Reveals Imminent Release Date

Netflix's Tiger King Season 2 now has a short trailer and release date. The follow-up to the show, which presumably documents the continued adventures of its subject, Joe Exotic, from behind bars, is set to drop on November 17, 2021. We didn't even know Tiger King Season 2 was coming until this week, when Netflix revealed a Image of Joe Exotic on a jail phone with confirmation that he was due to land this year. The first season was very popular and represented the peak of our relationship with streaming at the start of the pandemic last year. Here's the short teaser, which also seems to indicate that it'll shed more light on Exotic's rival, Carole Baskin: Netflix gives the show the connecting line "We've only scratched the surface...". We'll have to see that. The second season stars the same directors as the first: Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin. Over 64 million people watched the first season, so it will be an interesting test to see if people still care more than 18 months later. Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence after being convicted of murder-for-hire and animal cruelty. The first season focused on his Oklahoma-based big cat park and his growing feud with Baskin. Tiger King was the comfort food we absolutely needed during the pandemic. It's unclear how the story progressed amid the pandemic, but considering how many people we've met in the world of Joe Exotic this first season, we're sure they'll fill the season with something.
