The Witcher Season 2 First Trailer Offers Little, But More Is To Come
Netflix has just released the first trailer for season 2 of The Witcher. The bad news is that it's incredibly short and doesn't reveal much. The good news is that you probably won't have to wait long to see more of the series as Netflix has confirmed that it is working on an event called WitcherCon that will launch on July 9, 2021. The teaser focuses on Ciri (Freya Allan ) and only lasts 12 seconds. This basically sets up the character for her to be less of a runaway princess in season 2 and more of someone willing to fight, especially with Geralt by her side to train her. "You don't get lost in the woods anymore" is how Netflix mocks the footage. Check it out and consider watching it in slow motion afterwards to see some of the quick cuts:

Analysis: expect to see a lot more in July

WitcherCon is a digital convention that will take place on July 9 as a collaboration between Netflix itself and CD Projekt Red, developer of The Witcher games, and will feature behind-the-scenes reveals from the show as well as a first look. From Nightmare. of the Wolf, the spin-off of the animated film. The event has an official website if you want to check it out. We'd also be surprised if we didn't know the Season 2 release date at this event, but at least you'll learn a lot about the history of the series and the making of the games. You will be able to see everything on Twitch and YouTube. The best part of all this? Promo art for the event brings together Geralt of Rivia from the games and Henry Cavill's version for the first time. Take a look below. Perhaps we'll also learn more about The Witcher 3 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. However, it's been confirmed that we won't be seeing a new Witcher game there. A full program will be published shortly.
