Sleek new Klipsch Reference Premiere Speakers deliver refined Dolby Atmos

Klipsch has just announced not one, not two, but 11 new speaker models, also known as the Klipsch Reference Premiere Series speakers. The all-new range is an upgraded version of the company's outgoing (and award-winning) Reference Premiere series, now in its third generation. Klipsch assures us that this latest version features the most impactful updates in the series' history, including the latest advances in audio technology, premium materials, and spectacular aesthetic details, which is a roundabout way of saying that according to Klipsch, its Dolby Atmos- Enabled home theater has never looked (or sounded) better.

The series uses the new, larger patented Tractrix horn technology to improve high-frequency response and extension, as well as enhance dynamics and stereo imaging. Klipsch-exclusive patented copper Cerametallic woofers with aluminum Faraday rings and Tractrix ports handle low frequencies, while a proprietary Linear Suspension (LTS) titanium tweeter should maximize treble dynamics and detail.

You also get new premium materials and spectacular design features. The speakers come in two furniture-grade wood finishes, Ebony and Walnut, with an upgraded cabinet stand, aluminum terminals, cast-aluminum feet, and low-profile Dolby Atmos connections that should allow for seamless, easy, and refined integration. Klipsch-exclusive copper trim rings accentuate the tweeter and woofer, which can also be hidden with tough yet flexible magnetic grilles.

A big upgrade to your Dolby Atmos soundbar (big, huge!)

Is it time to make a small summary of the series? Very well, there is much to do. The new series of 11 new Klipsch Reference Premieres includes four stereo column speakers (Dolby Atmos-compatible RP-8060FA II, RP-8000F II, RP-6000F II and RP-5000F II); two stereo bookshelf speakers (RP-600M II and RP-500M II); three center channel speakers (RP-504C II, RP-404C II, and RP-500C II) and two surround speakers (RP-502S II and the innovative dual-purpose RP-500SA II that doubles as a Dolby Atmos elevation speaker or as back/side wall surround).

This latest surround sound speaker is perhaps the most exciting of the bunch, as it can bring Dolby Atmos to your current speakers. That's right – there's no need to invest in a whole new system if you want to bring surround sound to your setup! Simply place them on top of your existing speakers and let these upward-firing speakers add the vertical height needed for Dolby Atmos, bouncing audio across the ceiling and back into your cabinets.

Don't have speakers to add? That's great, the RP-500SA (just like the relatively new Klipsch R-40SA) can be used alone as side or rear surround channels and will certainly be a huge step up from your sound bar, or of course, to the incorporated. depending on your TV. on the speakers.
