More than 1,000 online photography courses are now available for free

With thousands of people now stranded at home, organizations and institutions around the world are unblocking some of their paid services so that the public can access these online resources for free. Following in the footsteps of the University of Cambridge and JSTOR, the Professional Photographers of America has announced that its catalog of over a thousand online photography courses will be available for free for the next two weeks. There are more than 1.100 courses available, covering a variety of topics for beginners and more advanced photographers, from Lightroom tutorials to using a flash, with courses open to individuals and small businesses. All you have to do is create a free account on the PPA website and you will be automatically directed to the list of courses. There is no mention of a specific end date on the site, but the courses were unlocked on March 21, which means they will be accessible to everyone until April 4 at the earliest. "Times are hard," the app says on its website, "we must be at our best. More kindness. More patience. More donations."
