Microsoft wants to give your SME personalized and free technical advice

Microsoft is launching a one-on-one consultancy service that it says will help small UK businesses meet their technology needs.

The business advisory service will be delivered by Microsoft product specialists at the Microsoft Experience Center in London.

The announcement follows a recent Office 365 price hike described by the tech giant as the first "substantial Office 365 price update" since the launch of its productivity suite just over ten years ago.

What's in it for small organizations?

Small UK-based organizations wishing to take advantage of the new program can visit Microsoft's business inquiries website and book an individual appointment.

These organizations will be able to connect online with a product specialist via video, chat or audio call, who Microsoft says will be able to listen to their needs, answer questions and provide personalized solutions.

Additionally, these organizations will also be able to have an in-person consultation at the Microsoft Experience Center during business hours, without scheduling an appointment first.

Microsoft says that after finding the right business solutions during consultation, it will help these organizations through the configuration and implementation process.

Consultations with Microsoft are available between 9 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday, and last up to an hour, although follow-up calls can be booked with the same product expert.

Users will be able to create a reservation on behalf of someone else, but the account holder must be 18 years of age or older and participate in the consultation call to proceed with the reservation.

Microsoft has also partnered with InSignLanguage to provide British Sign Language interpreters for these queries in Microsoft Teams, while closed captioning can also be turned on during conversation.

“We recognize that organizations across the UK may need more personalized support as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic and ways of working change,” said Joy Attuh, senior center manager at Microsoft UK. “The free business consulting service can help digital transformation plans by implementing cloud-based technology tools and services, like Microsoft 365 and Dynamics, to empower employees and unlock growth. »

"Microsoft will be there every step of the way to answer questions and guide customers in finding the solutions they need."
