Marvel Fans Go Wild Over She-Hulk Trailer's Superhero Cameo

The first trailer for Marvel Studios' She-Hulk TV show has arrived online, and fans are freaking out over the inclusion of a fan-favorite cult character.

Released on May 17, the official trailer for the upcoming Marvel Phase 4 project gives us our first look at Tatiana Maslany's Green Machine in action. It also pokes fun at some specific plot points, like how Jennifer Walters, the lawyer who transforms into She-Hulk whenever she gets angry or scared, juggles her two lives as a superhero, hero and lawyer.

Interestingly, the first trailer for She-Hulk also offers a glimpse of Jameela Jamil's Titania, aka the villain of the Disney Plus show. Surprisingly, though, it wasn't Mark Ruffalo's Titania, She-Hulk, Hulk, or Tim Roth's returning Abomination that had Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans going wild.

So who is the individual that keeps everyone spinning? None other than B-list superhero Frog Man.

"Wait, who the hell is Frog Man?" we hear you cry. In the comics, Frog Man is the superhero (we use that term loosely, for reasons we'll get to shortly), also known as Eugene Patilio, the son of a former villain who uses his father's old Leap, the frog suit to fight crime as a symbol of good. Patilio has no superpowers to speak of, but his father's old suit gives its wearer the ability to jump six stories into the air, thanks to electrical jump coils housed in the legs of the suit.

Naturally, Frog Man isn't one of the most prominent superheroes in Marvel comics, but he has helped a few, most notably Captain America and Spider-Man, on occasion. It looks like She-Hulk's Disney Plus series will position him as a supporting hero/vigilante to Walters de Maslany. But whether it will be used solely for comic book purposes remains to be seen, or if Marvel Studios took creative liberties with Frog Man and made him a more formidable street hero.

Either way, die-hard Marvel fans have expressed their delight that Frog Man is making his live-action debut in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Many fans have taken to social media apps including Reddit and Twitter to reveal their surprise and delight at the cult fan favorite's appearance on the show, and many can't wait to see it in action.

Reddit user cinemajax summed it up best, simply saying "I can't believe there's a Frog Man character." Meanwhile, fellow Redditor Zebra_dan compared Frog Man's costume to that of the Green Power Ranger from Saban Entertainment's iconic franchise.

Reddit user abellapa suggested that Frog Man's MCU debut could be the start of the studio's desire to include even more obscure (and fan-favorite) Marvel characters. Meanwhile, Marcusj112 and toilet111 expressed their delight at the vigilante's arrival in Marvel's live-action universe. Finally (as far as Reddit is concerned, at least), Joshdabozz demanded to see a fight between Wong and Frog Man, with Benedict Wong's Doctor Strange character making an appearance in She-Hulk.

On Twitter, the reactions of the fans were of the same type. RonJon027 and theOGtacobadger couldn't contain their excitement at Frog Man's arrival. Meanwhile, Tom_Tresser wants to see a nod to another Frog-based Marvel character, Brick Frog, in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on the back of Frog Man's costume. Frogman.
