Latest Doctor Strange 2 casting rumor sparks intriguing connection to Black Panther 2
A new Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness casting rumor has surfaced online, and it could tease a big connection to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The sequel to The Sorcerer Supreme has only six confirmed cast members so far, but according to actress Yenifer Molina's profile on Mandy.com, a website that allows professional actors to search for film and television roles, expect a creature called Gargantos. to appear in Doctor Strange 2. According to the page of Molina's compte, the actress interprets the character of "Gargantos Fight 2" in the prochain film of superheroes of phase 4 of Marvel, but on these lines there is no such thing d'action will be a key element of the film. Marvel has yet to confirm that Gargantos will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but that's not the first casting rumor we've seen on the film. Wanda Maximoff's twin sons Billy and Tommy, who were played by Julian Hilliard and Jett Klyne on the Disney Plus show WandaVision, are said to be involved to some degree. Speculation has also surrounded Rintrah, a magical minotaur that sometimes appears in Marvel comics, who is also part of the cast. With Doctor Strange 2 set to explore the MCM in more detail (and meet all sorts of weird, wonderful, and deadly beings along the way), adding a giant octopus-like sea monster to Gargantos doesn't seem so crazy. If Gargantos were to be confirmed in the cast of Doctor Strange 2, its impact could be twofold: not only will we have a secondary antagonist for the film, but a long-standing Black Panther 2 rumor is likely to be true as well.

Analysis: the possible appearance of Gargantos in Doctor Strange 2 could be related to Black Panther 2

(Image credit: Marvel Studios) We know we'll have at least one new character in Doctor Strange 2, Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez, who will be the first superhero to arrive from a dimension that exists outside of what we call the MCU. If other rumors turn out to be true, we could see either Rintrah or Gargantos appear. However, it's the possible arrival of MCM from Gargantos that teases a connection between Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In the Marvel comics, Gargantos is commanded by a supervillain named Naga. Naga, a humanoid who rules the underwater kingdom of Lemuria, has occasionally clashed with another overpowered aquatic individual: Namor the Sub. Why is this important? Because, if you believe the long-standing rumors, Namor the Sub is said to be making his live-action debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Over the last 12 months, various reports have suggested that Namor will be part of the cast and plot of Black Panther 2, and he may even be the villain of the play, even though he is traditionally a hero. Black Panther and Namor fought in the Marvel comics, so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary if they fought in the movie's sequel. It depends on whether someone else takes up the Black Panther mantle after Chadwick Boseman's death in August 2020. There is mounting evidence that Namor will also appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In June 2021, Christopher Sinclair, who works in the film industry, posted a set image of Black Panther 2 showing underwater scenes shot with a water tank: Of course, the Black Panther 2 crew can shoot underwater scenes with another purpose. However, it is a coincidence that they are shooting this footage for a movie that is rumored to feature an aquatic superhero from the MCU. We'll have to see if Marvel confirms Namor's inclusion in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. However, Gargantos' possible appearance in Doctor Strange 2, combined with the image above, gives us hope that he can finally retire live soon, even though he ends up being a character from another dimension like America Chavez walking into the MCU. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on March 25, 2022, while Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released on July 8, 2022.
