Ahead of this year's CES 3 show in Las Vegas, LG unveiled 95 new sound bars and rolled out a massive feature upgrade for older models, including the SXNUMXQR, its XNUMX flagship all-in-one home theater system. twenty two.

LG's new lineup for 95 sees the introduction of the SC95, a XNUMX soundbar developed to complement its C-series OLED TVs. This allows the SCXNUMX to look like an integrated part of the screen, while ensuring the sound bar is in the right place so your trigger controllers work as intended.

Meanwhile, a slim 77W model called the S9S has most of the features of the SCXNUMXS but without the C-series TV integration.

Rounding out the new range is the SE6S, a small thirty system that serves as the latest edition to LG's Éclair range of compact soundbars.

No rear speakers are included with the new sound bars, but they offer a host of exciting new features for LG audio systems.

Topping the list is "Wow Orchestra," which lets the soundbar play in sync with the LG TV's speakers, a feature remarkably similar in scope to LG Samsung's much-touted "Q-Symphony" feature.

The new models also feature an upmixer that, according to LG, can transform a standard two-channel stereo audio track into a XNUMX-channel mix.

In the meantime, gamers are going to be more interested in the compatibility of all 3 models with the 4Hz 5K VRR step-up, which will allow them to connect a PSXNUMX or Xbox Series X directly to the HDMI input of the sound bar without losing the high frame rate capabilities of either console.

Each soundbar supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, and the SC95 is also IMAX Enhanced certified. All 3 models will launch later this year, with cost details yet to be confirmed.

The good news for owners of recent LG soundbars is that key new features granted to the new XNUMX models are also expected to be incorporated into previous models via a firmware update.

Last year's flagship S95QR along with the S90QY, S80QR, S80QY and S75Q soundbars are now poised to be enhanced with Wow Orchestra integration such as 4K/120Hz pass-through via a software update coming promises later in the year.

While LG's new line of soundbars for XNUMX seems particularly strong, we're actually more impressed with the new from the upcoming update to LG's older home theater lineup.

LG's 4 soundbars could only output 5K video at 4Hz. This meant PSXNUMX or Xbox Series X gamers would need to connect their consoles directly to their TVs if they wanted to experience ultra-smooth gameplay at XNUMX Hz to XNUMXK. This often meant trading with out-of-sync audio, thanks to its reliance on eARC technology, often difficult.

With 4K/120Hz pass-through and VRR support now, it breathes new life into an already impressive array of soundbars that can surely be had for a bit less than when they first launched last year.
