KEF's new Dolby Atmos speakers feature 'acoustic black hole' for better sound

KEF has updated its range of high-performance R-series loudspeakers with a new set of devices for XNUMX. The range offers audio technology upgrades to deliver superior stereo or home theater sound, whether you want a new set of speakers to fit on a shelf or stand on the floor.

KEF is known for making premium audio products that deliver premium sound, like the KEF LS50 Wireless II Stereo Speakers. KEF claims that the 7 speakers in the R Series range are "engineered for superior performance with more detail, deeper insight and greater emotion."

That's thanks to a host of tech upgrades, including a refined tweeter pitch damper to monitor resonances for improved detail, a flexible decoupling chassis to prevent unwanted vibrations and deliver better quality, and hybrid bass drivers from Aluminum for increased controller excursion resulting in depth and control. low.

But the standout feature here is a new type of technology KEF calls Metamaterial Absorption Technology, a "maze-like structure" in each speaker where channels can absorb specific frequencies.

KEF claims this creates an "acoustic black hole" that can absorb XNUMX% of the unwanted sound behind the speaker's tweeter. The result is less distortion and promises pure acoustic performance with an impressively natural sound.

The R6 Meta and R2 Meta are center speakers for a home theater setup, providing clear dialogue and designed to work well in a variety of rooms.
