More than 70.000 Indian exporters, who are part of the Amazon India Global Sales Program, will showcase millions of customers of “Made in India” products around the world on the annual Black Friday and Cyber Sale Monday (BFCM).

According to Amazon India, the country's exporters are launching more than 52.000 new products on Amazon's global websites for the upcoming Christmas season. Also, to make it easier for sellers in India, Amazon Global Selling has introduced language support for them in Hindi and Tamil.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales begin on November 25 and end on November 29.

Amazon's global sales program generates € 3 billion

Black Friday and Cyber Monday, while small in India, are major sales events that mark the start of the Christmas season in the United States and many other countries.

Amazon is working with Indian exporters to help them identify the top holiday shopping trends in order to offer a variety of relevant products. It also supports them with logistics solutions and guides them to market their products through a range of offers and advertising options.

Amazon India said that customers around the world will be able to experience a range of products from Indian exporters in categories such as home and kitchen, STEM toys, clothing, health and personal care, office products, jewelry, beauty and furniture.

For the record, during the sale of BFCM in 2020, Indian exporters on Global Selling saw their sales grow 50% YoY. More than 300 sellers crossed Rs 10 lakh in sales during the 2020 sales period.

Amazon Global Selling is its flagship program to help Indian MSMEs start or expand their export business through e-commerce. Launched in India in 2015 through Amazon websites and international markets, the program currently has more than 70.000 Indian exporters showing millions of Made in India products to customers in more than 200 countries.

Amazon India claims that Indian MSMEs exporting through the program have exceeded € 3 billion in cumulative sales so far.

Earlier this year, Amazon India established a € 250 million fund for small and medium-sized businesses in the country. The pledges were a further step in Amazon's commitment to digitize 10 million SMEs, enabling $ 10.000 billion worth of exports from India and creating 1 million jobs by 2025.

Meanwhile, Amazon India, as part of its global sales program, has introduced language support for sellers in Hindi and Tamil. Entrepreneurs from anywhere in India can start and run their export business entirely in Hindi and Tamil.

Amazon said it worked with language experts "to develop an accurate and understandable experience for sellers."

From registration and KYC processes to order management, product, inventory, and central supplier pages will be available in these two languages (except English).

Additionally, sellers can also get help with their Hindi and Tamil inquiries through Seller Support. This new feature is currently available to sellers selling on Amazon.com Marketplace and will soon be available to other global markets as well, the company said.

Sellers who want to change their preferred language can do so in a few easy steps in Seller Central, once they have logged in. Other regional Indian languages will be added to this program, Amazon said.
