Huawei's patents highlight secondary display cameras.
We're getting used to hole-punch cameras, but it seems their days are numbered as several companies are already working on under-display cameras, including, most recently, Huawei. Or at least, the company has patented an interface that seems to incorporate such a camera, which suggests that it seems at least the idea. Seen by WinFuture, the patents show a camera lens in the upper left corner of the screen. Although the lens seems somewhat noticeable in some images, it does feature a phone icon directly above it, indicating that there is a usable screen above the lens.

As always, we add the usual caveat that patents often don't develop finished technologies and products. So just because Huawei has patented an interface that includes a secondary display camera doesn't mean the company will release a phone. with a. But sooner or later, and chances are most other businesses will. The hole-punch cameras really feel like a gap in the road leading to an all-screen concept, and Xiaomi and Oppo have already rigged their phones with secondary display lenses. So big brands like Huawei are likely to follow suit. Via MSPowerUser
