Google rolls out a more personalized interface for its smart displays.

If you have a Google Nest Hub, Lenovo Smart Display, or any other tool that uses Google's Smart Display UI, visual improvements and changes should appear in the near future. Google has just released an interface update that further exploits the ambient screen when it's idle: the watch face or screen background becomes a background. Blur as soon as you start interacting with it. As pointed out by 9to5Google, the dedicated weather forecasts have also been removed (only one icon remains and one temperature remains) and the date and time style has been changed and repositioned. Part of the reasoning behind this change is to set the stage for the Nest Hub Max and make room for upcoming Duo Reminders with Face Match ID technology (something not available on the Nest Hub).

These interface updates on Google smart displays come just a few weeks after the company introduced many product enhancements at the Google IO 2019 conference. In addition to introducing Nest Hub Max, Google also previewed the upcoming assistant. generation of Google, capable of processing information faster, with a smaller footprint on devices and more and more intelligent.
