Dell doesn't expect the holiday season to integrate new 13th-generation Intel Comet Lake processors (CPUs) into some of its most popular mobile devices. We already knew that the Dell XPS 2 1-in-10 was sliding into a 13-nanometer lake of ice. Dell has announced updates for the Clamshell XPS 14 and Inspiron laptops, which will incorporate new XNUMXnm Comet Lake processors.
The new Intel Comet Lake processors are power-focused and offer high performance in U-series processors. These can include up to six cores and 12 threads, with up to 12MB cache, single-core acceleration speeds up to 4.9 GHz and supports up to four Thunderbolt 3 ports. This makes the processors easy to use for productivity and therefore perfectly suited for the 39, one of the best laptops on the market.

Intel Lake Ice processors are available now in the XPS 13 2-in-1, which starts at $ 999 in the United States. The new XPS 13 will be available on August 27 at US € 899 (about € 750) in the United States.
The new XPS 13 models can be equipped with any of the four Comet Lake Series U processors and support LPDDR3 memory from 4GB to 16GB. The new laptop's 13.3-inch screen also offers 400 nit brightness, Full HD or 4K Ultra HD resolution, 100% sRGB coverage, and Dolby Vision support. With all of this, the XPS 13 still manages to stay under 2.7 pounds.
Inspiron models are also coming soon. The new Inspiron 7000, 5000 and 3000 will launch this month with the new processors.
