6 things to do in World of Warcraft before Shadowlands arrives
World of Warcraft's next expansion, Shadowlands, is scheduled to release sometime before the end of 2020. And, like previous expansions, some titles, achievements, and mounts will no longer be available in the pre-patch release, what's happening. usually approx. one month before launch. But don't panic: you still have time to resolve some of these issues. While no Shadowlands release date has been set, we do know that the pre-patch has just hit the PTR (Public Testing Domain), so it's unlikely we'll have too much time to wait. So if you don't know what to focus on when Battle for Azeroth ends, we've put together a helpful list of some of the things you might want to draw your attention to in WoW before Sylvanas Windrunner takes us down. all. the Shadowlands.

Take the Brutosaurus mount (if you can afford it)

(Image credit: Blizzard Entertainment) If you've had your eye on the Brutosaurus Caravan mount, now is the time to grab it. While not completely removed from the game, this much-sought-after mount, often affectionately referred to as the ``Long Boi'', will be removed from its current vendors in Dazar'alor and Boralus when the previous Shadowlands patch drops. Of course, you'll first need to save up to five million (yes, that's five million) in-game gold to purchase it. Why is very expensive? While it's definitely not a looker, it does come with a fully functional Auction House NPC, as well as a Vendor, both of which can be taken apart to allow two friends to ride your mount with you. But if you don't have that kind of capital, you'll still have a chance to get Brutosaurus in Shadowlands through the Black Market Auction House. Although with the demand, I would hate to think about how much gold it will cost each time it appears.

Ahead of curve and peak achievements

(Image Credit: Blizzard Entertainment) Just like at the end of any expansion or raid level, the associated achievements are removed for defeating the final boss of the current raid on Heroic and Mythic difficulties. The Shadowlands pre-patch will mark the deadline for earning the achievements Ahead of the Curve: N'Zoth, the Corruptor (Heroic) and Cutting Edge: N'Zoth the Corruptor (Mythic). Unless you're already in a guild run by the mythical Ny'alotha, the chances of you getting the maximum achievement are pretty slim. However, if your guild is still fighting on Heroic difficulty, you might want to pick up the pace to avoid missing out on this (no pressure) achievement. Of course, if you don't have a guild, there are plenty of pugs (pickup groups) to be found via the game's party finder that clears the raid on heroic difficulty, but it can be very hit and miss, and more than enough. 'a bit frustrating, trying to find a decent band. The good news is that while the achievements may disappear with the previous patch, the mount, the Uncorrupted Voidwing, is still available to kill the heroic N'Zoth until the release of Shadowlands.

Mythic Plus and PvP Season 4 Rewards

(Image credit: Blizzard Entertainment) The release of the Shadowlands pre-patch will mark the end of the current season for Mythic Plus and PvP. This means that players will no longer be able to get certain seasonal rewards from any of the content. For Mythic Plus, this means that you will no longer be rewarded with the Awakened Mindborer mount after completing all dungeons at Mythic level 15 or higher. For PvP, you will no longer be able to get the Season 4 Elite Outfits, which require a rating of 1800 in any listed PvP slot to complete the entire season.

Mad World Achievements (and Title) in Horrific Visions

(Image credit: Blizzard Entertainment) This is another one for the finishers who don't want to miss out on an achievement and a title. The Mad World achievement will be removed as soon as the pre-patch is released, along with the accompanying ``Faceless One'' title reward. If you've been putting off running Horrific Visions with all five skins active, you might want to bite the bullet and start practicing those runs. It won't be easy as each skin adds a debuff that greatly increases the difficulty. You'll need a cloak of level 15, or close to it, and you should have most of the Titanic research options unlocked. To unlock all five skins, you will need to clear all five areas in a horror view. It doesn't matter if it's Stormwind or Orgrimmar, though the latter is probably the easier of the two. This will unlock the first skin and you will now need to complete the ``lost'' areas in Stormwind and Orgrimmar with one skin active to unlock each of the other four. You are now ready to attempt a five-mask race. But before you do, it might be worth checking out this Wowhead guide for more details and tips.

Rank 4 Essences

(Image Credit: Blizzard Entertainment) Acquiring Tier 4 Essences may not have been a priority for you, especially when they only offer cosmetic upgrades rather than increasing your potency. But these will be removed when Shadowlands* launches, along with the "Phenomenal Power Cosmic" achievement and its associated title, "Champion of Azeroth." Like lower Essence ranks, Rank 4 Essences are obtained in a variety of ways, including raids, Mythic Plus dungeons, PVP, or Paragon Reward Chests. You can find more information on how to get each one here. * The Tier 4 upgrade for Essence of Vision of Perfection will not be obtainable after the pre-patch as the pass requirements will also be removed. If you want to catch him now, you'll need to complete the Mechagon dungeon on hard mode without death to earn the "Hertz Locker" achievement.

And if you're still on your ending - alternate level

(Image credit: Blizzard Entertainment) If you've been dipping your toes into Azeroth over the past few months, you're probably familiar with the Winds of Wisdom buff that's active until the previous Shadowlands patch. The buff offers 100% bonus experience when leveling up, and unsurprisingly speeds up the process considerably. And it's even faster if you have a full set of Heirloom gear to equip, which provides an additional experience bonus based on a percentage per piece. If you plan on not leveling up characters until the Shadowlands, depending on what level of reduction is coming up, this may not be a good idea. There will be plenty of new content to keep you busy with the new expansion, so the last thing you want to do is get stuck leveling up a new character. Of course, if you just want to explore the new leveling experience, it might be worth the wait, but if you have any legacy Allied Race armor, you still need to get it or are considering upgrading to one. new class for Shadowlands, it's probably a good idea to take advantage of the experience advantage now. It's also worth mentioning that the experience bonus from legacy gear will be removed in Shadowlands and replaced with 'set bonuses' that increase experience and stats while at rest.
