3 things left to know about the Samsung Galaxy S22

At this point, there is very little left to learn about the Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup, assuming the leaks and rumors we've heard so far are accurate.

The entire range has been leaked extensively, right down to weight and dimensions, and while some early leakers disagreed on key specs and features, recent leaks are largely divisive. So Samsung may not have many surprises in store for us on February 9 by officially unveiling the Galaxy S22 range.

That said, there are still some things that are not entirely clear to us. Things that were not leaked or whose leaks did not convince us at all. With that in mind, we've unearthed the top three things we've yet to learn about the Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup.

1. Release date

While we're pretty sure Samsung will announce the Galaxy S22 lineup on February 9 (since it's confirmed to be hosting a big event at that time), what we're not so sure about is when you'll be able to buy the phones. .

At least one release date has been leaked, with one source saying the phones will go on sale on February 24. However, they also stated that the announcement would be made on February 8, which we now know is a day off.

Since they got it wrong (even slightly), we're not entirely sure of its release date, especially since it hasn't been corroborated by other sources. Still, the range is likely to go on sale by at least that date.

2. Load speeds

How fast will the Samsung Galaxy S22 line charge? We've heard multiple times that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra could support 45W charging, but at least one source says 25W for the entire range.

There's also the possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus supports 45W, but it's showing fewer leaks than the Ultra, and there's not much to say about the standard model. Therefore, the leaks are not entirely clear here.

We're also even less sure about the speed of wireless charging. There's some evidence that Samsung is working on a 25W wireless charger, but there's no guarantee that all, let alone all, phones in the Samsung Galaxy S22 lineup will support it.

For reference, all phones in the Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup support 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, so there may be updates this year, but we're not sure about some.

3. How much storage will the S22 Ultra have?

(*two*)

While sources seem to agree that the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus will come in 128GB and 256GB configurations, there's less agreement on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Some sources point to a 256GB or 512GB storage option, while at least one other suggests it will come in a 128GB version as well.

But then we also heard about a 1TB model in some leaks. That would be more storage than you can get with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, but if that launch does come, it may just come later than the other models. So even if these leaks are accurate, we may not hear more about this model on February 9.
