Xbox Game Pass loses one of the best roguelikes of recent years

The latest batch of games for Xbox Games Pass have been revealed, along with the list of titles leaving the subscription service later this month.

Chief among the Xbox Game Pass games that will soon be gone is Hades. The Greek roguelite caused a stir when it released in 2018 and made our list of the best roguelike games. This puts you in the shoes of Zagreus as he tries to escape the procedurally generated dungeons of the underworld. The game's hack 'n' slash combat system garnered much praise, as did its clever characterization and illustrations of various Greek gods.

Nine other games will also be released later this month, including space sim Elite Dangerous, classic point-and-click adventure Myst, and critically acclaimed indie tale What Remains of Edith Finch. The latter only takes a couple of hours and is worth a closer look if she has some free time before the end of the month.

In a blog post (opens in a new tab), Microsoft says that Two Point Hospital is also getting started. This is sad news for anyone who has found that Two Point Campus doesn't offer the same chaotic fun as its predecessor.

A handful of new games have come to take its place. One of them includes another Greek-inspired adventure. Immortals Fenyx Rising will be the next most recent Ubisoft game to be added to Game Pass, following the publisher's partnership with Microsoft earlier this year. It's kind of an exaggerated version of Breath of the Wild.

La llegada de Fenyx Rising sigue a Assassin's Creed Origins, Watch Dogs 2 y Ghost Recon: Wildlands.

Fenyx Rising will be joined by turn-based tactics game Commandos 3, hacking puzzler Exapunks, and the upcoming interactive movie Immortality. Here are all the new games coming to Game Pass later this month.

Xbox Cloud Gaming also received a big update. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now access 16 additional games through the streaming service, including Dragon Age: Origins, Star Wars: Squadrons, Chorus, and TMNT Shredder's Revenge.

On top of that, there's the selection of new games announced earlier this month. Game Pass subscribers may be upset that they can no longer fill Zagreus's shoes, but they will surely be playing.
