Microsoft has revealed the latest list of games headed to Xbox Game Pass, including a new life simulator that moves it away from a Disneyfied version of Pelican Town.
Headlining this month's Xbox Game Pass releases is Disney's Dreamlight Valley. A cross between Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and pretty much every popular Disney IP, it's a light-hearted RPG simulation that sees you explore a magical land and help the cheerful characters that inhabit it. You will meet your neighbors, craft items and complete quests.
Dreamlight Valley may wear its influences on its sleeve, but it seems to be taking the genre in some new directions. It emphasizes storytelling and challenges you to complete a bunch of main quests and optional tasks, all provided by classic Disney and Pixar characters. It's also available to stream via Xbox Cloud Gaming if you're an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber.
At the opposite end of the tonal spectrum is Metal: Hellsinger. Also coming to Game Pass this month, the demonic FPS is a mix of classic rhythm games and Doom. You will have the opportunity to fight your way through hordes of horned monsters to the beat of an original heavy metal soundtrack. It features a host of acclaimed professional musicians, including System of a Down's Serj Tankian, Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, and Trivium's Matt Heafy.

A large-scale RTS, it mimics the colorful and explosive warfare of Supreme Commander, giving you vast armies of robots and frigates to smash together.
It is joined by the well-received mechanical puzzler Opus Magnum, locomotive simulator Train Sim World 3, tongue-in-cheek driving game You Suck at Parking, and rogue tactics game Despot's Game. Also coming is the kids' shooter DC League of Super-Pets: Adventures of Krypto and Ace.
