Tidal is now officially available in the United Arab Emirates

Tidal first launched in 2015 and is now finally available in the United Arab Emirates. It brings with it a massive music catalog of over 80 million hi-fi songs that will appeal to music fans and audiophiles alike. For artists, Tidal offers new ways to get paid that allow them to create on their own terms with the support of fans.

In addition to its extensive catalog, Tidal members will have access to regularly updated playlists. These will feature local artists, including new music in genres such as pop, dance and electronica.

Tidal will have two subscription levels, as well as a family option that will allow you to connect up to six accounts.

hifi tide: At €5.50/month, this level provides uninterrupted access to HiFi sound quality. With Tidal HiFi, members can connect Tidal to speakers including cars, download music for offline listening, and view personalized daily listening insights with the new My Activity feature.

Great HiFi Plus: For €11/month, HiFi Plus has everything the HiFi tier has to offer. Add fan-focused royalties and direct payments to artists. HiFi Plus also provides access to best-in-class immersive sound formats (Dolby Atmos Music and Sony 360 Audio Recordings) and Master Quality Authenticated (MQA), as well as early access to exclusive offers and future features.

Tide Family: It allows you to enjoy music on up to six accounts for €8.50/month for Family HiFi or €17/month for Family HiFi Plus.

Tidal bills itself as a platform for artists and offers some tools to enhance the artist experience. There will be a direct payments to artists program that gives artists an additional way to earn income through streaming. Each month, a portion of the HiFi Plus subscription fee will go to the most played artist.

Later this year, artists will be able to earn fan-focused royalties. This means that royalties are paid based on the actual streaming activity of an individual HiFi Plus subscriber rather than the industry standard for streaming aggregation.

"UAE is multicultural, has a strong music culture and is a leader in providing world-class entertainment for music fans," said Lior Tibon, Tidal's COO. “Fans can now listen to music and support their favorite artists as Tidal continues to expand support for artists with new ways to pay. We are excited to support music culture in the United Arab Emirates and prioritize fan and artist experiences."

Tidal is available to download for Android devices through the Play Store and iOS through the App Store.
