With real-time data tracking and analysis, Dental Intelligence's goal has been to provide dental practices with the transparency needed to maximize their practice revenue. Features

The standard dental office management product aims to streamline operations, but Dental Intelligence goes beyond these essentials of appointment scheduling and electronic billing.

For example, there is the "Call Intel" or, more precisely, the "Smart Caller ID". At the regular dental office, phone calls are answered through the front desk throughout the day with the pedestrian "Dental Office," or simply the dentist's name. Alternatively, through Call Intel, Dental Intelligence software integrates with the incoming phone line to capture caller ID information for incoming calls. Helpful information is displayed as the call is answered, via an on-screen pop-up that includes the caller, pending treatment, outstanding balances, and other relevant information. Now the front office answers the phone saying "Hello Ms. Jones, let's plan your next cavity fill," which instantly makes a personal connection and also encourages increased production by identifying missed revenue opportunities as soon as phone calls are answered. .

While data analytics is nice, it's ideal if it's real-time and actionable. It really doesn't make sense to find out at the end of the month, or even worse quarter, that volume is down, or the many missed appointments that have decreased revenue. Dental Intelligence addresses this challenge with the "Morning Huddle" feature. Without the need to run a report, Dental Intelligence provides useful information on volume from yesterday, today, tomorrow and even next week. He breaks it down to give each team member a clear plan, based on concise, trackable goals for the day. You can also measure team performance as plans progress!

The front office and back office of any dental practice face follow-ups. For example, practices want to minimize the number of patients who are asked to return in six months for their next visit and never return. Thus, Dental Intelligence launches the postcards of the plan and bets on an Internet solution. This software creates "automatically generated call lists for appointment confirmations, hygiene care, unscheduled treatments and billing", preventing patients from being lost to follow-up, so they get the care they need and for their consultation.

Disadvantages

To tell the truth, not everyone is 100% satisfied with every detail of Dental Intelligence.

To its credit, Dental Intelligence offers mobile apps. On the Android side, there is a report of the app not opening, but more recent reviews seem to improve with an overall score of 4.3 stars out of 5. On iOS, things aren't quite as good. Dental Intelligence with a rating of 3,2/5 stars, down from the previous 3,8/5. The complaints continue, from the app not working to the app not connecting to the app not being compatible with the latest version of iOS.

While some users are having success with the software, few are frustrated, some highly with Dental Intelligence. Going through Facebook reviews, some practices are not happy with this software and are more upset with the cancellation policy (see below), especially the cancellation fee. In some cases, it was after months of promises to fix issues that were left unresolved to the subscriber's satisfaction because they still wanted to leave.

Support

Support

Dental Intelligence offers a full range of options for help. The first is by phone, which offers a direct and toll-free number. However, we will mention that the hours are limited to 6am-6pm Mountain Standard Time, and furthermore, it's weekdays only, except for Fridays they turn it off even earlier at 4pm.

Additional options include email and chat. There are no available onboarding materials such as videos, ebooks, webinars, or whitepapers.

Pricing

A common practice in this segment is opaque pricing. True to segment, Dental Intelligence obscures pricing information on its site. Alternatively, the company contact requires a personalized quote which is euphemistically given a "free practice analysis".

We posit that the reason for the lack of pricing is the high cost, which is slightly higher than at least some of its competitors. Elsewhere online, we see that Dental Intelligence has a setup fee of €1000 (€810) and then a subscription for the month of €499 (€404). However, we also see other prices online (in the same range) so we believe that other variables are involved, such as the duration of the contract, and also the number of dentists in practice between the possibilities of deciphering the price.

Dental Intelligence has a strict cancellation policy which states that "All payments for services rendered are non-refundable." In addition, the policy is automatically renewed, for one year at a time, with the requirement that 30 days' notice must be given prior to the renewal date to exit.

final verdict

Offering a comprehensive set of features that go above and beyond your competition to run a successful dental practice, Dental Intelligence is a viable entry. We like the mobile app support for iOS and Android, the automated trackers, and real-time data analytics. The downsides cover really opaque pricing, high startup costs, and limited support hours that come early on Fridays. For a practice that wants a higher level of success, Dental Intelligence is still an option, albeit at a cost.
