The PS Plus October games catalog lineup is a good one. If you're a huge Assassin's Creed fan, of course.
The PS Plus game catalog updates for October include six Assassin's Creed games, the best of which is Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Odyssey is joined by Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered, and the Assassin's Creed Chronicles trilogy. In addition to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, there's a lot of love for AC available on PS5.
JRPG fans also have a lot in store for October, especially if you love Dragon Quest. Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is a great option if you're looking to scratch that JRPG itch. It is also joined by the games Dragon Quest Heroes and Dragon Quest Builders.
October is the perfect time to get scared, consider downloading scary games like Inside and The Medium if you are looking for some horror. Finally, GTA Vice City: Definitive Edition completes the main additions to the PS Plus catalog of October games. Everything can be downloaded at October 18 if you have a subscription to PS Plus Extra or Premium.

PS Plus Extra subscribers have a lot to look forward to this month. There are plenty of great additions here to complement this month's free PS Plus games. But then again, it seems that PS Plus Premium subscribers have been left behind.
Premium subscribers will get Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 Remastered this month, which seems a bit cheeky considering they're PS4 titles that should probably also be downloadable via the Extra tier. There's PS3 representation in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Everyday Shooter, but nothing for PS1, PS2, or PSP fans.
Sounds like a missed opportunity on Sony's part. It's the Halloween season, so what better time to showcase some of the best classic Resident Evil gameplay or one of the first four Silent Hill games? Fortunately, PS Plus Premium is home to a very good PS2 survival horror game, but October would have been a great time to add more.
