Sony announced its free PS Plus games for July. To celebrate 10 years of PS Plus, Sony will also be offering an additional free game, meaning PlayStation Plus subscribers can buy three PS4 games this month instead of two. So what is he going to propose? Free PS Plus games for July include NBA 2K20, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Erica (the bonus treat). Rise of the Tomb Raider is the second entry in Crystal Dynamics' rebooted Tomb Raider series and sees Lara Croft venture into Siberia in search of the legendary city of Kitezh. This is probably our favorite entry in the rebooted series and one that bears repeating. But if you prefer sports action, NBA 2K20 might be a better fit for you and will fill the void in the form of basketball until we get our hands on NBA 2K21 later this year. If you don't like any of these, you can still enjoy the free PS Plus game in July: Erica. Erica is an interactive thriller based on the cast of a (quite funny) young woman named Erica, who is plagued by nightmares about the death of her father and tries to find out what really happened. All three games will be free for PS Plus subscribers to download from July 7 to August 3. Also, Sony will release a free PS4 theme later this week to celebrate the anniversary; however, this will only be available for a limited time. But that is not all. To encourage more gamers to sign up for the subscription service, the company will host a free online multiplayer weekend from July 4 to 5, to allow gamers to test the benefits of PS Plus multiplayer offerings.
