Free PS Plus Games For May Include A Big Warm Up For Battlefield 6
Sony has officially announced its lineup of free PS Plus games for May and it includes a big warm-up for the upcoming Battlefield 6. In May, for PS Plus members, there's Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last (PS5), Battlefield 5 ( PS4) and Stranded Deep (PS4). From the developers of FlatOut, Wreckfest is a vehicular combat racing game where players race and upgrade old beat-ups, adding extra armor and making them more aesthetically pleasing before sending them out on the derby/destruction track. With online multiplayer for up to 24 players, carnage is almost certain to ensue. Wreckfest has already launched on next-gen consoles, but the PS5 version will launch the day it hits PS Plus on May 4. This means PS5 owners can get their hands on the next-gen version from day one, as long as you're an active PS Plus subscriber. Battlefield 5, a first-person shooter set during World War II and the newest entry in the Battlefield franchise, is also available. Now is a great time to jump into Battlefield 5, or revisit it, as EA DICE has announced that Battlefield 6 will launch later this year with a full reveal coming soon. Finally, we have the open-world survival adventure Stranded Deep, which sees players stranded in the Pacific Ocean after a plane crash. It's up to you to survive, scavenge for supplies, and craft weapons, tools, and shelter to stay alive. Note that while Battlefield 5 and Stranded Deep are both PS4 versions, you can also play any of these PS4 games on PS5 thanks to backwards compatibility, though PS4 players can't play Wreckfest, that is. a native PS5 title. All these games are available from May 4 to May 31.
