James Bond movies hit Amazon Prime Video in April, but not in the UK

The James Bond movies are coming to Amazon Prime Video to air on April 1, it was revealed last week, and in 4K UHD to begin with. Unfortunately, Amazon Prime Video UK subscribers won't be able to stream the movies, as we've confirmed. The film payload will include all 20 pre-Daniel Craig James Bond films (and the non-canonical version Never Say Never Again), according to lists published on retail outlets like our sister site GamesRadar. We confirm with an Amazon Prime Video UK spokesperson that James Bond movies will not be available on the service. Not a huge surprise, as trading rights globally can be tricky business, hence why streaming services like Netflix have so many content disparities between regions. In 2012, for example, around the release of Skyfall, Sky launched a James Bond-themed channel that showed all the movies back to back. That doesn't mean it's all that difficult to watch every Bond movie in the UK, of course, given the number of versions released on home video over the years, but streaming them in 4K would have been a treat. The Daniel Craig Bond movies are available on 4K Blu-ray in the UK, but not elsewhere. You can still recover the Blu-ray collection of the existing 24 movies. The next film, No Time To Die, will be released in the UK on November 12, delayed from its original May release window. Today's Best The James Bond Collection 1-24 Deals The James Bond Collection...

Bond needs a streaming home

The James Bond movies were available to stream before, Netflix US had many of the earlier movies until May 2019, but it would be nice if Bond had a more permanent streaming room like the way Star Wars movies do now. They live on Disney Plus. Prime Video would have been perfect. In the meantime, you can still buy every movie on Prime Video, and DVDs have been a mainstay of dad's libraries since the dawn of media. You probably already have a way to watch these movies, but
