Critical Role Animated Series Comes to Amazon Prime for Two Seasons

The critical role of the Dungeons and Dragons YouTube show is on Amazon Prime Video, the streaming service that has commissioned two seasons of the animated series Critical Role: The Legend of Vox Machina.

The series began as a Kickstarter campaign last year, demolishing its goal for a pilot episode and generating enough money through ambitious goals to generate 10 full episodes. Amazon's order adds an additional 14 episodes, the total amount being divided into two 12-episode seasons.

According to an article on the Kickstarter campaign page, Amazon's financial support will improve the series' overall production values, improving animation, effects, and sound quality.

This Kickstarter campaign had originally generated over € 11 million. Fans will always benefit from the first season as part of their commitment and quick access to the first two episodes of the season.

The season will cover the full story of Briarwood, as well as other stories from the Vox Machina campaign. It was previously adapted into a comic book series published by Dark Horse Comics.
