Disney Plus has announced what's coming to the streaming service in April, and there are some nice surprises in store for Star Wars fans, including the 2D animated series Clone Wars, created by Samurai Jack's Genndy Tartakovsky. Both volumes of the animated shorts, set between Episodes II and III and released in 2003-2005, will hit the service on April 2. Lucasfilm hasn't talked about it much in recent years, so it's great to see the series return. Joining darker offerings from the back catalog on the same day: Great but best forgotten TV movies Caravan of Courage and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor are also coming to Disney Plus, with both seasons coming. from the children's entertainment program Ewoks. The biggest shock, however, is that The Story of the Faithful Wookiee animated short hits the streamer on April 2. Released as part of the notoriously gruesome Holiday Special in 1978, it is best known for marking Boba Fett's debut; Lucasfilm no doubt wants to have it on the service before the Boba Fett book is released later this year. Still, it looks like the rest of the Christmas special will be lost to time, or indeed, a pirated VHS tape near you.
