CorelDRAW update delivers more than you asked for

A new update to the popular graphic design software CorelDRAW Graphics Suite offers a list of new tools and templates to streamline the creative process, the company said.

Coinciding with Corel Corporation's recent rebranding to Alludo, the update to CorelDRAW Graphics Suite also features enhancements pulled directly from user requests.

But the update isn't for everyone: only subscribers can access the new design tools, while lifetime license holders can only access the 2021 version of the design software.

What's new in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite?

Creative design templates and practice projects are the first major additions to the abundant graphics suite, which includes a photo editor with drawing software, DTP software, and more. Alludo hopes this will help unlock the crafting process for more users and improve skills.

For content creators looking for faster response times, the new export workflow has been streamlined and simplified, allowing for faster results. The update also launches a new scaling tool, designed for precision and flexibility.

The developers have even made several improvements directly from user requests (through a forum run by Alludo). Chief among these are support for WebP files and unspecified performance improvements.

“The latest updates simplify the design process, making it easy for everyone to unleash the power of creativity and produce amazing results. We want to enable designers to succeed faster by accessing the tools that give them the freedom and flexibility they need to develop creative projects, on any device, from anywhere,” said Klaus Vossen, CorelDRAW Senior Product Manager.

The launch comes as the company behind Corel VideoStudio introduced its new CorelDRAW Academy. Billed as a free e-learning resource for subscribers, the platform is, like the graphics suite's new Canva-style templates, a place where users can deepen their knowledge and hone their craft.
