Sen. Patrick Toomey (R-Pa.), the leading member of the committee, announced the "Uniform Secure Transactions and Stablecoin Reserve Transparency Act of 2022," dubbed the Stablecoin TRUST Act for short, as part of an effort to Clarify how the various US regulatory agencies can approach companies issuing cryptocurrencies whose prices are tied to the US dollar or other assets.
