Hey World allows you to run newsletters and blogs from your email account

Starting your own blog or newsletter has never been easier with the growing number of blogging sites and email marketing software now available, but alternative email provider Hey wants to make things even easier with their new service Hey. World. The service is offered as a free addition to Hey's paid email plans and allows users to create a blog post or newsletter by simply sending an email. To get started, Hey users will need to send an email to [email protected], after which the subject of the email will become the article title, while the body of the email will change to the blog post.

After users send their first email, Hey will automatically create a blog for them by adding their username to the end of the world.hey.com URL. All future articles will be added to the blog, which also offers an RSS feed and email subscription box so your subscribers can follow your latest articles. In a blog post announcing Hey World, co-founder Jason Fried explained how he came up with the idea for the new service, saying: “When I write some kind of email, meaning a blog post, why do I have to direct it? tosomeone? Why can't I just direct my thoughts to the world? Directly on the web for everyone? Instead of defining the recipients, I just write and let the recipients find me. Hmm! It could lead me, and possibly many others, to (re)discover the joy of simply writing personal thoughts for public consumption. Sometimes it is not necessary to change the thing itself, but it is much easier than ever. This is often the invitation you need to try something new or come back. "Hey World's new blogs are now available to all company subscribers with personal accounts, but unfortunately, business account users won't be able to try out the new service just yet. Via The Verge
