Halo Infinite has come a long way since Craig's season

The Halo Infinite campaign launch trailer has been posted on Halo's official YouTube channel, and it's a fantastic preview of what to expect when the game's campaign launches on December 1, two thousand twenty-one for Xbox. Series X / S, Xbox One and computer, as well as Xbox Game Pass Day XNUMX subscribers at no ancillary cost.

Originally slated for a release in XNUMX, Halo Infinite was pushed back for a year after criticism of the game's lackluster presentation and visual loyalty. This original game show produced the now vile meme of Craig, a Brute who, when paused in a certain frame, seemed to come. straight out of the Xbox XNUMX era.

Fortunately, the outlook for Halo Infinite is much better now than it was last year. The multiplayer component of the game launched in early November 272.000 and reached a maximum concurrent player count of 343 on Steam alone. Also, in our initial look at the Halo Infinite campaign, we couldn't praise XNUMX Industries' renewed approach to designing a single-player Halo experience.

The Halo Infinite campaign launch trailer itself is packed with action, despite the short 2.5-minute run. Running at 60fps, we enjoy an impressive visual review of the game as the Master Chief battles the Outcasts (a coalition of brute forces and the remaining Covenanters).

It's already a long way from the Halo 5: Guardians phone campaign, as we see John-117 fighting both on foot and in iconic Halo vehicles like the ever-reliable Scorpion tank and Warthog. This, combined with a preview of new toys like the Grappleshot, delivers an exciting trailer that surely only scratches the surface of what to expect when Halo Infinite launches next week.

Welcome back spartan

The last few years have been quite tumultuous for Halo fans. As mentioned, Halo 5's cooperative campaign was a huge disappointment to many, tying together mostly linear missions in an inconsistent way, recycling the same boring Promethean foes ad nauseam, and taking the series' plot in a confusing and confusing direction. . .

While Halo Wars 2 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection have been able to take something over the past few years, fans have been missing out on a really great game since Bungie's superlative Halo Reach. 343 Industries may have taken this goal seriously, as the Halo Infinite campaign appears to be hugely promising given our short time with the preview.

They are not just roses, unfortunately. Despite what appears to be a brilliant campaign coupled with an already brilliant multiplayer sequel, Halo Infinite won't be quite finished at launch. The cooperative campaign option isn't added until 2022, along with the series' main Forge mode that allows players to create their own maps and multiplayer modes.

There's still a lot to digest on day one, of course, but the lack of 2 of Halo's mainstays at launch is undeniably disappointing. Still in this way, we hope that the ancillary development time granted to Co-op and Forge can result in their best releases when they are added to Halo Infinite next year.
