Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Alex Bornyakov has confirmed that the government will release a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), as a historical account of the atrocities currently taking place in the Russian-attacked country.

The Guardian quoted Bornyakov as saying that,

The NFT collection would be “like a museum of the Russo-Ukrainian war. We refer to the world in NFT format.

Bornyakov further added that each token will carry an artwork depicting a story from a trusted news source, stating:

"We want it to be great, beautiful, and that takes time."

It was announced several days ago that the airdrop discussed above would be cancelled, with NFTs taking its place.

Speaking of Ukraine's "digital diplomacy", Bornyakov said it had paid off, as various social media platforms, which he described as one of the Kremlin's weapons in this war, block or tag content from Russian state media. “Most of their weapons are disabled. At this point, after two weeks. That is what I call positive results, ”he said last week.

Donations via crypto and NFTs also continue to pour into the country, with Bornyakov recently saying that the funds are being used to purchase military equipment, among other necessities.

According to data from SlowMist AML, cryptocurrency-related donations to Ukraine reached almost €77 million today. It was €69 million a week ago. At the time of writing, bitcoin (BTC) is trading at around €39,000 and is up nearly 2% in a week.
