Dropbox wants your return to the office to be less painful
As employees begin to prepare to return to the office, Dropbox has added new features to its cloud storage service to make it easier and faster to access your content and workflows. With the addition of suggested folders, workers will be able to more easily add and share content with the right people. Dropbox has also made it easier to access your content at a glance with a new, streamlined experience available on the taskbar on Windows 10 or the menu bar on macOS. To help users find the content they're looking for, the company has added a new navigation experience on the left side that gives you access to all your files and folders from a drop-down menu. At the same time, a redesigned details panel provides important pieces of content, such as the file type, who a file is shared with, when it was last edited, and its location. Having to open a separate app every time you want to convert a file from one type to another can waste precious time, which is why users can now convert files to different formats like JPEG or PNG without leaving Dropbox.

Secure content and stay organized

Along with its new user interface enhancements, Dropbox has also made it easier to centralize, organize, and protect your most important personal content. The company has improved the performance and reliability of camera downloads and this feature is now available for basic users as well. With Camera Downloads, users can back up photos and videos from their smartphones directly to Dropbox and access them from any device. However, you can also back up specific albums and customize the way photos and videos are saved in the Dropbox app for iOS and this feature will be rolling out to Android soon. Dropbox has also updated its password manager with new features, and the company now offers a browser extension for Dropbox Passwords that captures and fills in usernames and passwords. Users can even securely share passwords and payments with others, and the service now supports credit and debit cards. Whether you work from home or your organization has a hybrid work policy, Dropbox makes sure you can quickly and easily access all your content, wherever you are.
