Chloe Zhao's award-winning drama Nomadland will finally be released in the UK and Ireland on April 30th. Searchlight Pictures, the film's distributor, made the announcement via a press release and the company's Twitter account. The award-winning film, which has received rave reviews from overseas critics and fans, hits UK and Irish shores next month on Disney Plus. Nomadland will premiere on the general entertainment platform Star, but will also be available to all Disney Plus subscribers at no additional cost. In addition to its release on Disney Plus, Searchlight Pictures has confirmed that Nomadland will receive a theatrical release in the UK and Ireland once theaters are sure to reopen. Cinemas in both countries have been closed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, but it is hoped that cinemas will be able to reopen if vaccine rollouts in the UK and Ireland continue to progress positively.
