(Image credit: Walt Disney Studios) An event like Disney Plus Day wouldn't be complete without new movies and TV shows to watch on the streamer, and you'll be spoiled for choice when you do. After its exclusive theatrical release in September, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be available to all Disney Plus subscribers at no additional cost. It will also be one of 13 Marvel movies available to stream in enhanced IMAX mode for the first time. This enlarged 1:90:1 aspect ratio means you'll be able to watch 26% more compatible movies than ever before. Avengers: Endgame, Iron Man, and Black Panther are among those expected to benefit from the new feature. Other highlights include Dopesick, a drama series focusing on the opioid epidemic in the United States, the spin-off series Frozen Olaf Presents, and a Boba Fett documentary focusing on the beloved Star Wars bounty hunter. Check out the full list of recently released productions, as well as new releases, including Home Sweet Home Alone, below:

Disney Plus Day Expectations

Disney Plus Day: what else can we expect?

Clint Barton and Kate Bishop team up on Marvel's Hawkeye TV show

(Image credit: Marvel Studios/Disney) As mentioned, there will be plenty of Disney Plus Day surprises for viewers. So what can we expect? First up, we hope to get a look at Marvel Studios' Hawkeye. The studio ramped up its marketing efforts ahead of the MCU series' launch on November 24, so we were able to snag an exclusive clip of one of its first two episodes to whet our appetite ahead of launch. The Boba Fett book, a Mandalorian spinoff series, could also make an appearance. Recently, the first trailer for the show was posted online, but could we get an exclusive clip before it arrives on December 29? We wait. Disney might also drop another look at the upcoming Peter Jackson documentary The Beatles: Get Back. So far we've only seen a preview of the three-part docu-series, so another preview wouldn't hurt. Finally, at least for 2021, would it be too much to ask for a new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer? Technically, it is a production directed by Sony Pictures. But, since it's also an MCU movie, we're hoping for a second official teaser before its release on December 17. Make our day, Marvel. In the long run, we could also take a look at Pixar's two big movie premieres for 2022. Turning Red and Lightyear, which will be released on March 11 and June 17, 2022 respectively, could appear. Perhaps a new Turning Red trailer and some behind-the-scenes footage of Lightyear, the latter hosted by Lightyear star Chris Evans? We keep our fingers crossed on this front. As for the MCU, we'd love to see trailers for the movies and TV shows that are scheduled to land early next year. We've yet to see anything from Doctor Strange 2, with its release date recently pushed back to May 8, 2022. But there's no better opportunity for Marvel to tease us with a first look than on Disney Plus Day. In the meantime, we might finally get our first look at Ms. Marvel, whose Disney Plus series was also delayed back in September. The Mrs. Marvel was supposed to land in late 2021, but its release has been postponed for unknown reasons. Could we have a first trailer and an official release date for Ms. Marvel? It's possible. There's a five-month gap between No Way Home and Doctor Strange 2 once it's first released in December, so Ms. Marvel can fit into that space. So we're pretty sure we'll hear something on that front. Finally, we were able to learn more about other productions. They could include the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney Plus series, which recently wrapped filming. Also, we may be entitled to news about The Bob's Burgers movie, the Peter Pan live-action movie, and Marvel's She-Hulk and Moon Knight shows. We don't expect to see all of the above during Disney Plus Day, but there's plenty the Walt Disney Company could show off.
