In his day job, Buffmire serves as the vice president of CalChip Connect, a distributor of products behind IoT networks. They include products compatible with the Helium network (such as miners) and other IoT solutions. In a previous executive role at Orange, a global mobile network operator, Buffmire worked with the Helium team on development projects, but that was well before Helium launched its crypto-focused strategy.
