AWS and Salesforce want streaming video to be better than ever

Two of the world's largest technology companies have teamed up in an attempt to make streaming video a more enjoyable experience for viewers around the world.

AWS and Salesforce have launched a selection of new services aimed at improving video streaming for users around the world, enabling content distributors to offer a broader, more intuitive range of services and a better end-user experience.

The new services combine AWS machine learning, artificial intelligence and analytics tools along with Salesforce Customer 360 and its Media Cloud platform.

The companies say this collection of tools enables content providers, such as television and online networks, to offer more personalized experiences to customers.

This may include more relevant ads, suggestions of other content to watch or subscribe to, or recommendations on how to upgrade your viewing plan, such as adding new channels.

It should also help improve customer satisfaction with the services they receive, which will hopefully lead to continued loyalty and longer subscriptions.

The new offerings will also allow content providers to better understand who exactly their customers are and what kind of services they are interested in and want to see more of. Salesforce technology will provide a wealth of insights into what drives individual customer engagement, offering insights into content recommendations and more.

"Attracting and retaining a diverse audience while delivering consistent, high-quality video is one of the biggest challenges facing content distributors today," said Christopher Dean, vice president and general manager of Media & Entertainment & Media Cloud, Salesforce.

“The relationship between Salesforce and AWS brings together a comprehensive, industry-specific media offering designed for direct-to-consumer video and live streaming services. This allows content distributors to enhance their capabilities while helping them quickly launch new service offerings, such as subscription packages and product bundles. »

"Together, we're delivering a customizable set of scalable, easy-to-deploy content tools and AI-powered subscriber journeys to further help studios, broadcasters, publications and other distributors quench consumers' thirst for personalized content. ".
