We know that Microsoft's Xbox cloud gaming service, commonly known as xCloud, is coming to PC, but new screenshots now show what it will look like when played through a web browser. Sources close to The Verge have revealed that the cloud-based gaming service is being tested ahead of public preview, and as the images below reveal, this is a familiar layout for us. We've seen the Xbox Game Pass mobile app. . As it stands, the app offers a fairly straightforward launcher with game recommendations and the ability to go back to recently played titles. Of course, you'll have to use an Xbox controller to play all the games streamed through the browser, and this handy hidden feature should make things easier.Image 1 of 3 (Image credit: The Verge) Image 2 of 3 (Image credit: The Verge) Image 3 of 3 (Image credit: The Verge) It should also be noted that in order to enjoy Xbox cloud gaming, you need to be an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber. It's Microsoft's Premium Game Pass tier, which costs $15 / £10.99 / AU$15.95 per month. Unfortunately, no specs have been shared for what the games will look like when played via a web browser, such as resolution, but we'd expect a minimum of 720p with hopefully the option to drop sometimes. Higher resolutions if your internet connection can handle that.
