Apple Fitness Plus Gets a Big Update, With Help from Lady Gaga and Stephen Fry
Apple Fitness Plus has received a major update, with new playlist-focused workouts from top artists, as well as a new batch of celebrity-led Time to Walk stories. There's no shortage of on-demand training services right now, but Apple has always been able to differentiate itself through its existing agreements with record companies for iTunes. Last year, rival service Peloton found itself in big trouble with music publishers for its unlicensed use of tracks (a matter that was settled out of court), and Les Mills is fixing the problem by combining licensed music with original versions and tracks to keep. costs down. Apple, on the other hand, just needs to renegotiate its existing label deals to cover Fitness Plus, giving it some of the best workout soundtracks around. Its latest update adds a new Artist Spotlight series, featuring full playlist workouts from individual artists. The first batch includes sound sessions by Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez. If none of these appeal to you, we expect many more artists and genres to be added to the mix in the coming months.

You will never Walk alone

Time to Walk, launched earlier this year, is an app that encourages you to take time to walk while listening to personal stories from celebrities. The idea is to provide yourself with a walking buddy, so you can get out of the house and stretch your legs without feeling lonely. It is available as an Apple Watch app for Fitness Plus subscribers. Apple has now launched its second series of Time to Walk stories, featuring stories from boxer and Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua; model Naomi Campbell; actress, singer, songwriter, and producer Cynthia Erivo; winner of the first Olympic women's marathon Joan Benoit Samuelson; comedian and writer Stephen Fry; and much more. You can download these new stories to your Apple Watch through the Fitness app on your iPhone and listen to them through Bluetooth headphones while you walk.
