Season 8 is long overdue with Season 9 on the horizon. Rare is gearing up for the next big update. However, Sea of ​​​​Thieves continues to receive regular updates in the meantime.

Patch 2.7.3 arrived on February 16 and brought matchmaking improvements as well as a set of Halo-inspired cosmetics for the more fashion-conscious pirates out there. Sea of ​​​​Thieves Season Eight Plunder Pass launched alongside the main season on November 22, 2022. Although you must purchase it separately from the Xbox Store (opens in a new tab), there is a small discount for subscribers to Xbox Game Pass. Here is the official description provided by Rare:
