Summer is here and it's time to dance in the streets with a new Bluetooth speaker. But what if the Sonos Roam is too rich for your blood, given the current cost of living situation? Earfun understands.

With stereo pairing, speakerphone functionality, and three sound modes for indoor, outdoor, or video tasks, there's good evidence that it's actually a good thing.
To explain: The sound was polished by Olaf Lubanski, a producer with over 10 years of experience in the music industry, and he released a 45-minute YouTube video detailing how Earfun outperforms others like JBL, Bose, Denon, Sounds and more.

At this point, Earfun (a little-known brand until 2019) has proven its worth - check out our Earfun Air and Earfun Air Pro reviews for reference. Lubanski also makes a few points in the video above; Why pay €200 for something when €60 can get you a product that (it says) is actually better?
Did we mention that it's IPX7 rated, which means it can be submerged in water as deep as one meter for 30 minutes and survive? This places it among the best waterproof speakers on the market.
Perhaps the most interesting feature of the Earfun UBoom L is the ability to choose between three different sound modes, something we first saw in the splendid Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2, released in the summer of 2019. Indeed, where is Ultimate Ears? in this days? In their apparent absence, other audio manufacturers are undoubtedly picking up the slack...
Remember, though, that on the UE cup-sized speaker you only had an external boost mode (a little tree button at the bottom), whereas here you also have the option of a video boost mode.
Naturally, the bass heft of any portable Bluetooth speaker will be limited given its relatively jewel-like dimensions, but Lubanski doesn't mince words and even asks buyers for feedback. Refreshing.
