Wix brings all your SEO tools together in one

Wix has released a new SEO tool (opens in a new tab) that it says will allow users to review and edit meta tags for each page, as well as URL slugs, indexability, and open graphics tags.

Available now, the update gives businesses the ability to customize SEO-related elements, like structured data tags, from a single settings page – the Wix Dashboard.

Wix says its users can use the new SEO settings for website home pages and product pages, and they're working to make it available for blogging sites (opens in a new tab).

Wix SEO Update

Over the past two years, Wix has been very focused on improving its SEO offering, which is attached to its popular website building service (opens in a new tab).

This new tool is an addition to Wix's suite of SEO-related releases, including its Site Inspection Tool (Opens in a new tab) and Semrush integration (Opens in a new tab).

In an attempt to give its users the tool to compete in the search engines, Wix says it has focused on making this new tool house the single-page SEO features of its Wix editor. This will provide users with a complete picture of all your meta tags, giving them a better understanding of what needs improvement and customization.

"The SEO Configuration Tool helps users apply the same SEO logic to multiple pages at once," Wix said in a written PDF emailed to TechRadar Pro.

“Rather than changing settings for a single page, it allows users to customize settings that apply to the entire section, folder, or collection of pages, all at once. In this way, users can create a systematic SEO strategy much faster and optimize their pages at scale. These basic settings include default meta tags for each page type, social preview, and more information about your pages' structured data.

Einat Hoobian-Seybold, SEO product manager at Wix, told TechRadar Pro that site builders' mission is to support and optimize common, everyday SEO workflows for their users.

"Manually editing meta tags and other settings for each page is very time consuming, especially when users deal with large sites," adds Hoobian-Seybold,

“We are thrilled that with this new version, users can now review and edit all of their SEO meta tags, URL slugs, indexability, structured data markup, and robots meta tags in one place. It allows them to edit everything easily and at scale, making the SEO editing process fast and efficient.”
