I am the proud owner of a Wii and Wii Fit console sitting in my family's house, covered in dust. Why can't I get rid of it? (Who are you, mother?) Because this little white box contains many memories. Memories of fallen nunchucks flying through the air, my Wii Fit avatar turning visually round when I stood on it after years of neglect, and more importantly, unnecessarily running around my living room trying to hit a virtual tennis ball in Wii Sports. .
It's been over 15 years (shouts) since the heyday of Wii Sports, when kids and adults around the world simulated throwing bowling balls and taking out ornaments trying to hit virtual baseballs. And, since then, there have been a variety of games trying to get us moving, but few had the mass appeal that Wii Sports did.
So it was very good news when Nintendo released Nintendo Switch Sports, the latest in the Wii series, in April. With a host of sports mini-games to play solo and multiplayer, Switch Sports is Wii Sports for a new generation.
Although Switch Sports was only available for a few months, we're already seeing deep discounts on Nintendo's latest sports game thanks to Amazon's Prime Day deals. So if you're looking to bring back the magic of Wii Sports, now is the perfect time.

There aren't many Prime Day Nintendo Switch Sports deals right now, but we did get some great Switch Sports plus Ring Fit Adventure deals early in the sale period.
However, in the UK you can buy Nintendo Switch Sports at its lowest price yet, with bundles of accessories also discounted if you fancy taking your sports experience to the next level. The Switch Sports and these accessories are compatible with the Nintendo Switch family of systems, which means they'll also work with the Nintendo Switch OLED (although I don't recommend using either with the Switch Lite, which is more suited to single-player experiences that aren't require joy-cons).
Nintendo Switch Sports is worth picking up if you want to keep the family moving on a rainy day or just want a shot at that Wii nostalgia, just try not to break anything.
