One minute review
Samsung may be a brand more familiar with large applianceslike refrigerators and washing machines, but the tech giant also offers a small line of floor-care appliances.
As well as robot vacuum cleaners, Samsung also offers a range of some of the best cordless vacuum cleaners, the latest of which is the Samsung Jet 90.. This stylish model comes with a variety of accessories to remove dust from any surface and store safely on its stand when not in use. It has great suction power.
capable of sucking up bits of grain, hair, sand, and even sucking up dirt that lurks deep in carpets, making it one of the best vacuum cleaners we've got. It's easy to maneuver around most corners and under furniture, and the range's handy accessories ensure you can reach blinds, bookcases and ceiling corners.
Battery lasts up to 45 minutes between charges when used on a combination of the lowest and medium power settings. The battery is also replaceable, which means you can charge a second on standby for quick replacement, so your cleaning routine isn't interrupted. Its dust bin isn't as easy to remove as on other cordless vacuum cleaners we tested, like the Dyson V15 Detect, requiring a few clicks to detach from the main body and empty into a bin. Of course,
you can opt for Samsung's Clean Station, which empties it much more efficiently, but it's an additional cost that very few users will find really useful. Having said that,
The Samsung Jet 90 is an easy-to-use cordless vacuum that's good at picking up dust and debris from hard floors and carpets.
Price and availability of the Samsung Jet 90
The Samsung Jet 90 Cordless Vacuum, known as the Samsung Jet 90 Pet in the UK, is priced at $649 / €549 / AU$999 and is available now from Samsung. Extra batteries will cost you $150 / €149 / AU$249. It's a bit more affordable than Dyson's latest cordless vacuum, the V15 Detect, which will set you back $699.99 / €599.99 / AU$1,399.
Design
- 0,21 gallon / 0,8 liter trash can
- Comes with five additional tools
- Includes a permanent charging stand
The Jet 90 is quite stylish and has a mostly sturdy plastic body. It doesn't have a trigger handle for operation, but rather a simple on/off button on top, flanked by two additional buttons to adjust the suction power between low, medium and turbo.
Weighing about 6.87 lbs / 2.8 kg, it's comparable in weight to other similar vacuums on the market, though it's still easy to maneuver on the floor and around narrow furniture.

Simple LEDs illuminate current suction power and indicate if there is a problem with the roller head or filter. There's also another LED that indicates when the optional rotary sweeper accessory is in use, which can be purchased separately for $129.99 / €89 / AU$149.
Battery life is indicated by three solid LEDs on the battery itself, which flash while charging in the base station.

0,21 gallon / 0,8 liter dust container is parallel to the telescoping hose, allowing maximum air circulation. The container is large enough to handle a deep cleaning session, and the nine cyclone chambers inside help maximize suction power while removing dust and debris.
Five-step suction process is capable of removing even ultra-fine dust particles, ensuring that the exhaust air is clean and free of contaminants, while the bowl and microfilter are also washable.
Samsung says the motor and cyclones are designed in such a way as to prevent less dust from accumulating on the filters., so there is less chance of them getting clogged during use.

There are a variety of accessories with the Jet 90, which are perfect for various cleaning scenarios.. The turbo action brush is a great all-purpose cleaning head, featuring stiff bristles that are great for digging up dirt on carpets and between floor tiles. The soft-action brush is best suited for more delicate wood or tile floors and is effective at picking up small dust and debris.
The Turbo Action brush and the Soft Action brush can be removed with a single click, in case you need to clean them further.
The mini power tool is ideal when you want to vacuum furniture or countertops, while a crevice tool and combo tool let you grab dust lurking in corners, blinds and other hard-to-clean areas. It also has a swivel attachment that allows you to clean above cabinets or higher areas in your home. The cordless vacuum also comes with a convenient charging stand that allows you to store the vacuum when not in use and easily recharge the battery.

- Good suction power
- May get stuck in some carpets
- Transforms into a hand cleaner
The Jet 90 worked quite well in our test apartment, which has a mix of tile floors, carpet, and a low-pile carpeted room.. It picked up cereal bits, cookie crumbs, pet hair, and a fair amount of dust, even on the lowest suction setting. Raising the level to medium removed more sand and dust from the carpets, but we should note that if you keep the Turbo Action brush on one area of carpet for too long, it will eventually stop spinning after a few seconds and the vacuum will throw an error. You will then need to turn it off and back on to resume cleaning.
The telescopic pole allows up to four length adjustments, ranging from 93cm to 114cm for comfortable use and navigation.
(Image credit: Avenir) When used as a hand-held vacuum, the Jet 90 continued to perform well: We were able to dig into our couch to suck up bits of stale popcorn, more pet hair, and dust.
The Jet 90 doesn't feel too bulky to hold when used in this mode, and the accessories are easy to change if necessary. It's also convenient to use in your car, although it can be a bit difficult trying to vacuum under seats; we would only use it on the floor mats and seats to pick up debris. The Jet 90's noise levels aren't too bad when used on the first two power settings, but crank it up to Turbo and you'll feel (and sound) like a mini hurricane in your hand.
(Image credit: Avenir) The dust bin itself can be removed by pressing the button on the front, after which the top filter is unscrewed, and the contents of the bin are then emptied into the trash.
Not as easy to empty as the quick release system we've seen on Dyson vacuums, and there is a possibility that the dust in the container will explode if you empty it with too much force.
Samsung's solution for this is the Clean Station, which we will see later.
(Image credit: Avenir) One thing to note about the Jet 90 is its base station. Although it offers a convenient place to park the Jet 90 and charge it, the entire structure takes up quite a bit of space and must be permanently installed next to an electrical outlet.
or is it something you can easily hide in a closet somewherer; you'll want to place it somewhere where the Jet 90 can charge undisturbed without being a visual distraction to your living space. The base station also only includes racks for just two accessories; everything else will need to be stored elsewhere until you need it.
Battery duration
- The battery lasts up to 60 minutes.
- Full charge takes 3,5 hours
- An additional battery can be charged in the base station.

Samsung says the Jet 90 can last up to 60 minutes of cleaning time, but there are a number of caveats to this statement. You will only get this kind of cleaning time if you use it on the lowest power and without a motorized brush head. For regular use in a combination of configurations of
low and medium power with the attached Turbo Action brush, we clocked just under 42 minutes of battery life. when we made it work
at Turbo speed with a full battery, the Jet 90 lasted 10 minutes and 22 seconds.
Recharging time is around 3,5 hours, which is a long time to wait if your Jet 90 runs out of power in the middle of a particularly busy cleaning cycle. Fortunately, the base station has a slot to charge a spare battery, so if you buy an extra battery, you can swap it out for a new one and pick up where you left off.
Samsung cleaning station
- Quickly clean the Jet 90 container
- Requires exclusive garbage bags
- Price $199 / €179 / AU$299.
(Image credit: Samsung) For anyone who isn't a fan of the way the Jet 90's bin empties or has severe allergies to dust, Samsung also offers the Clean Station, which can be purchased separately. Priced at $199 / €179 / AU$299, this is a tall, sleek device that has one goal:
hygienically clean your Jet 90 trash can.
Its use is simple: Just lift the top cover, place the Jet 90 dust container on top, press the start button and the cleaning station sucks up all the dirt and dust without it escaping. The dirt is then sent to a disposable bag that is hidden inside the cleaning station, which you can dispose of when full after a few drain cycles. While this is great for people who really don't want dust flying anywhere when cleaning the dust bin, it does present its own challenges. Here's another thing you'll need to install and leave plugged in somewhere in your house, probably right next to the Jet 90. Second, it relies on purpose-built Samsung trash cans, so this is another thing you'll need to keep. . buy. To most people, the Clean Station may seem like an unnecessary purchase and you'll have no problem emptying the bin into a regular trash can. For more specific ones, the Clean Station attempts to fix a problem that may only be present in very specific scenarios.
