One minute review
Though not as well known as brands like Dyson and Shark, Roidmi has certainly made a name for itself in recent years with its robot vacuums and some of the best cordless vacuums that boast impressive specs and affordable prices.
The X30VX (also known as the Roidmi RS70 in Europe) is the latest addition to Roidmi's growing range of floor care tools, and it's not just a cordless vacuum; This model also doubles as a mechanical mop, making it a fantastic option for those who live in homes with little storage space.
Roidmi went for a sleek and clean design in silver and gray, resulting in a subtle yet stylish stick vacuum that will fit well in most homes. The handle on it is ergonomically designed for comfortable cleaning, and while it's a bit heavy compared to other cordless models, it's not too much of a problem during long cleaning sessions.
It also contains real power. The X30VX offers excellent suction (150W at its maximum setting) and excellent battery life, two areas where the Dyson V15 Detect narrowly beats it. It also has a selection of great value-added features, like a dark-sensing floor head, the aforementioned mop, rugged accessories, and even an app.
If your home includes mostly hard floors, the X30VX will be your best friend, navigating all surfaces with ease and style without needing to be on a higher setting than your lowest eco mode. The floor cleaning head has a smooth roller with stiff bristles tucked inside, which means it won't damage your hard floors but can still clean carpets without tangling hair. As you'd expect from most cordless vacuums (essentially all non-Dyson vacuums), mats create a bit more resistance and you'll likely need to turn the suction up to maximum for a thorough clean.
For its price, the V30 VX is a fantastic cordless stick vacuum that will be a godsend for any dust collector and offers fierce competition for Dyson's market dominance.
Roidmi X30VX price and availability
- List price: €599
- US launch soon, according to Roidmi
The Roidmi X30VX is a cordless vacuum cleaner and mop that offers the full range of floor cleaning possibilities. In the UK it is priced at €599.99. It's not available in the US yet, but it will cost €699 (excluding tax) when it launches in the coming months, according to our contact at Roidmi.
The vacuum cleaner is Roidmi's most premium cordless vacuum cleaner and it comes at a fairly high price. However, since it is both a mechanical mop and a vacuum, it ranks quite well in the market in terms of price. For comparison, the Dyson V15 Detect, which at the time of writing is our pick for the best high-end cordless vacuum, costs £629, and while it's very powerful and smart, it can't clean.
In the UK, you can buy the X30VX direct from Roidmi via Amazon - opens in a new tab - or a handful of other online retailers. The vacuum comes with a range of tools: a mattress attachment, upholstery brush, crevice attachment, rotating power brush head and a mop head with rotating mop washers. In the box you'll also find two HEPA filters, a corded power supply, a wireless magnetic charger, and cleaning tools to maintain the vacuum, as well as the self-cleaning mop docking station and two replacement mop pads.

Roidmi X30VX Design
- 0,14 gallon/0,55 liter trash can
- Robust construction with solid connections
- It comes with five tools.
The X30VX looks a lot like Roidmi's previous cordless models, with a rear-mounted 0,14-gallon/0,55-litre bin under the motor and a protruding handle that offers good control. Unlike previous models, there's a battery indicator display on the front of the vacuum, along with the vacuum cycle button and power button, which you have to hold down for three seconds. The plastic chassis and the metal bar are in matt silver grey.
The dustbin is easily disassembled by pressing the button at the bottom; The hatch is easily opened by pressing the orange button on the side of the chamber. We had to get our hands dirty once or twice to manually remove the sticky bits, which was a bit of a pain considering its small size requires more frequent emptying.

The vacuum is too heavy at 5,95 lbs/2,7 kg to be considered lightweight, but it's still comfortable enough to hold for long periods of time. With that weight also comes the reassurance of a solid build: the Roidmi X30VX feels really sturdy, although that can make the snap-on mounts a bit stiff to unsnap. Like its predecessors and many other cordless stick vacuums, the Roidmi X30VX can be detached from its wand and used as a handheld vacuum as well, weighing in at 3,5 lbs / 1,6 kg.
One of the standout design features of the Roidmi X30VX is its mop attachment. Rotating at 200 rpm, the mop pads are mounted below the 8-oz./240 mL water reservoir on the mop head. You can clean the mop pads with the oval self-cleaning station or throw them in the washing machine.
As mentioned, the main head of the vacuum houses a strong yet soft roller, which has bristles to help clean carpets and reduce tangled hair. It offers an excellent range of movement, transforming even in the tightest corners of our home. All accessories are well made and sturdy.
A very nice touch with the Roidmi X30VX is the included magnetic wall mount. This can either be screwed in or the plastic backing can be removed by the user and glued to the wall. Once mounted, the Roidmi X30VX will charge, or alternatively you can use the charging port at the top of the handle.

Roidmi X30VX Performance
- Good suction, especially on hard floors.
- Cleaning works fine once broken
- Headlight with darkness sensor
During the test we really enjoyed cleaning our house with the Roidmi X30VX. The model seems very well balanced in terms of equipment and functions, and has some nice little surprises in store as a bonus.
We tested the X30VX in a house with hardwood floors, tile floors, thick low-pile carpeting, thin carpeting, and on our couch and baseboards, and it was overall a delight. There are a lot of tight spaces in our city apartment, but that wasn't a problem for the X30 VX—it could easily turn through a 90-degree angle.
The most important aspect of a vacuum cleaner is its suction power, which is generally excellent. The Roidmi X30VX is a dream for vacuuming hard floors, gliding effortlessly across the surface and picking up debris. In our flour and oatmeal tests, it was able to collect almost all of the mess in a single pass, even on its lowest setting. Carpets, unsurprisingly, are a bit trickier: the vacuum took four passes to pick up the oats. However, with flour, it only took two passes and picked up the fine powder pressed into the material. The thicker mats seemed like a challenge, as the smooth roller struggled to get up and catch much of the debris.

Still, we liked the front light on the main vacuum, which turns on when the vacuum detects dark spaces. This is a much more energy efficient solution than other vacuums offer, as it keeps the floor head light on throughout use.
When it comes to cleaning, we were pleasantly surprised at how the Roidmi X30VX worked its magic on our floors. Converting the power of the vacuum motor into rotating 200 RPM pads, the mop head is just as easy to maneuver, though a little less well-suited for small spaces due to its size.
Rotating the mop pad moves the cleaner away from you a bit, which has been annoying at times when trying to clean up a mark on the floor; but otherwise lighten the load on your arms. While the mop can only use water to clean, rotary floor pads certainly do the trick to give your floors a quick polish. We found on first use that the straight mop pad took no water, but after five minutes it was soggy, as with every subsequent use.
The Roidmi X30VX is quite loud, measuring 78.7dB at its maximum setting, but it doesn't sing while cleaning as much as it moans. It's pretty common on vacuums with smaller motors, but we certainly noticed our ears ringing a bit after a deep clean.
One really nice feature we don't expect from cordless vacuums is app compatibility, but Roidmi has covered all the bases with the X30VX. The app is pretty simple to use: it connects via Bluetooth and provides various information about your vacuum, from battery level and standby time to area cleaned and time spent cleaning.

Roidmi X30VX Battery
- Ranges from 10 to 70 minutes (depending on power setting)
- Takes 2,5 hours to fully charge
- The battery can be charged wirelessly with the magnetic wall mount
The Roidmi X30VX's battery life is respectable, lasting around 70 minutes on its eco setting, which is significantly less than the 80 minutes Roidmi promises. At its maximum suction setting, the X30VX lasted just over 10 minutes, meaning it could only handle two or even three rooms when needed. This is pretty common with cordless vacuums, and overall, the X30 outperforms the competition.
As with previous Roidmi models, the battery is displayed as a percentage, but we definitely prefer to see the rest...
