Just a few months ago the affordable OnePlus Nord N20 5G was launched, but now an even cheaper spin-off in the form of the OnePlus Nord N20 SE could be about to land.

The unannounced phone was spotted in Thailand's NBTC certification database by GizmoChina (opens in a new tab). This is a database that various devices go through before being sold in the country, and the information it contains is likely to be accurate.

In this case, this information doesn't reveal much, but it does include the name OnePlus Nord N20 SE, as well as a model number of CPH2469. The main thing that this list confirms is simply that the OnePlus Nord N20 SE probably exists and will probably be announced before too long.

That's not all we've heard about the phone, as previous leaks have shed light on some of the potential specs, including a 5000mAh battery and dimensions of 163,74 × 75,03 × 7,99mm.

Oppo fans with photographic memories may have noticed that these are the same specs as the Oppo A57, and that's no coincidence as the OnePlus Nord N20 SE is also said to be a rebranded version of this phone.

The Oppo A57 also features a 6,56-inch 720 x 1612 LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset, 6GB or 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 5G, a 13GB primary camera MP, a depth sensor of 2 MP and another of 8 MP. camera in the front.

We can't be sure these two phones are the same, but either way, if the price is right, the Nord N20 SE could be one of the best cheap phones out there. We will probably find out soon as we hope that the OnePlus Nord N20 SE is not far behind.

Analysis: where is it on the North line

The OnePlus Nord N20 SE will likely be a lower-end phone than the OnePlus Nord N20 5G, based on its name and alleged specs. This phone costs €299 (around £245 / AU$430), so the Nord N20 SE will probably cost less.

But it could cost more than the OnePlus Nord N200 5G, which retails for €239 (about £175 / AU$319). Again, the supposed specs of the Nord N20 SE are a mix of higher and lower ends than the N200, so its position is a bit confusing.

Buyers outside of the US probably won't need to worry as, as with the other phones mentioned, the OnePlus Nord N20 SE is unlikely to land in the UK and certainly won't launch in Australia.

OnePlus doesn't feature in the latter, but UK buyers have plenty of other Nord phones to choose from, like the affordable OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G.
