Love is Blind is the new reality show phenomenon on Netflix. The first season was broadcast in 10 episodes for three weeks, during which several couples would reciprocate and hopefully fall in love, never seeing each other, before becoming engaged and entering into a relationship that hopefully ends with wedding bells.
Written in writing, it sounds crazy, but the program, presented by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, was without a doubt a resounding success. The central idea behind the show sparked a lot of social conversation, ending (spoiler alert!) with two couples getting married: Amber Pike and Matt Barnett, as well as Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton.

By merging existing reality reality formats such as Love Island and Blind Date in the UK (where a guy or girl would choose a date from three suitors hidden behind a screen), the show was a montage of the best Netflix shows in the UK and US since its release. Love is Blind season 2, then, feels like a no-brainer. But what do we know about the plans for a second season, including a likely release date? Read on to find out everything we know.
Love is Blind season 2 is not confirmed yet, but producers want to do it
Netflix has yet to renew Love is Blind for season 2, but creator Chris Coelen told Oprah Mag that he wants to do 12 seasons of the show, not just a second season. "I want to watch season 2 or season 12. Right?" Coelen said in the outlet, adding that there was a "100% chance" of a season 2.
Expect the dust to settle in season 1 before Netflix announces a follow-up. We will update this page when it is renewed.
In a conversation with Variety, Coelen floated the idea of doing even more years of the show. "I think we'll do season 20," he said. The first season took place in Atlanta, Georgia, but a potential season 2 of Love is Blind would take us elsewhere.. “I want to say it will be a conversation that we have with Netflix, but I think there are a lot of big cities that we could go to,” Coelen said.
Love is Blind Season 2 Release Date: If That Happens, Wait 2021 or 2022
Love is Blind began filming in October 2018, making Netflix the secret of the best pairings in the series, a secret, a miracle. So while reality shows are woefully easy and cheap to produce compared to big Netflix dramas like The Witcher, the nature of the show requires a long lead time because singles get to know each other.
It could affect when we see a release date, so don't be sure you'll see Love is Blind season 2 in 2021, it could be later.
Love is Blind season 2 could be heading to other countries
While season 1 was firmly based in the United States, Love is Blind could be heading to other continents in season 2.
"Look, the idea is that in the end, we will do it in other countries, it is very global," Coelen told Variety. “There are many places we could go. Chicago is a great place to look, as is New York, Boston, Houston. There are so many different places we could go. And as I said, outside the country too «.
Release calls for Love is Blind season 2 is not out yet, as the series hasn't been renewed, but the series' production company, Kinetic Content, told Decider that it's worth bookmarking this page to find out when they'll be ready.
