Amazon has introduced a new invite-only system for restocking your PS5, one that should finally give you a better chance of buying the mega-retailer's PS5 if all your previous attempts have ended in failure. Best of all, you don't need to be an Amazon Prime member to register your details either.
All you have to do to sign up is go to the PS5 store page on Amazon (opens in a new tab). Sign in to your account and then you will see the option to request an invitation where the Add to Cart button is usually located.
Click on it and Amazon will send you an email with an exclusive link to buy the PS5 the next time the console is available. However, please note that the link is only active for 72 hours and does not guarantee you a console as they cannot respond to all requests. We expect the PS5 to sell out very soon in this time frame, so act quickly when you get the alert. At least it's a lot better than the random free games that Amazon usually offers for the PS5 every couple of months.
Amazon PS5 Restock: Sign Up Here
Registration is only open for the standard PS5 console at this time and it's unclear if it will be added for the PS5 Digital Edition. Amazon has said, however, that it will soon add the ability to sign up for alerts for its Xbox Series X restocking. Microsoft's console isn't as in-demand as the PS5, but it's still a challenge to get your hands on one.
Amazon's new PS5 replenishment system is very similar to that put in place by Sony's own PlayStation Direct store, which asks would-be buyers to register their details for the option to buy a PS5 console when it's in stock. If you haven't put your name in yet, here's also how to sign up for PS5 alerts on PlayStation Direct.
We've also looked at the latest PS5 deals available right now, where you can find cheap PS5 games, as well as the best prices for all the most popular PS5 accessories. This includes some of the deals still available in this year's Days of Play sale that ends June 8.
