Samsung has apparently been busy working on new versions of the Galaxy Buds Pro wireless earbuds, and it looks like they're almost ready to go; that's based on unofficial, unofficial versions of the headset that just hit the Web.

We're indebted to 91mobiles (opens in a new tab) for the renders, and these are the first images we've seen that claim to show the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. White, graphite, and purple are rumored to be the colors on those who will arrive the headphones.

These are not the only wireless earphones made by Samsung, but they are the most premium and expensive. We'll have to wait and see how much they sell for, but again price will be crucial when it comes to how well they sell.

Specifications and Features

As you can see from the photos, there doesn't seem to be much change in the design of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro compared to the existing Galaxy Buds Pro that were released in January 2021.

Battery life could apparently be improved, but in terms of specs and features we're still in the dark. We're guessing features like active noise cancellation will be carried over from the existing earbuds to the new pair.

As for when we'll see these wireless earbuds, they're rumored to be unveiled in August alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, so it's going to be a busy month for Samsung.

(*2*)Analysis: all shoots

You could be forgiven for losing sight of where we are in the history of the Samsung Galaxy Buds, as there have been several variations over the years. The original Galaxy Buds appeared in March 2019 as rivals to the Apple AirPods.

Then we got the Galaxy Buds Plus in February 2020, which introduced better audio quality and better battery life without changing the design of the earbuds too much. The design definitely changed with the bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live in August 2020, which also brought active noise cancellation to the table.

After that, there was the Galaxy Buds Pro in January 2021 as we mentioned earlier, returning to the original form factor, and the Galaxy Buds 2 in August 2021. Going back to this story, a new pair of wireless earbuds from Samsung is now overdue.

However, there are far more competitors than there were in 2019, with companies like Google, OnePlus, and Nothing releasing and perfecting their own wireless earphones. The main selling point of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro could be that they work seamlessly with other Samsung hardware.
