The new lock screen lets you touch any area to change fonts, font colors, use portrait mode for your photos, and more to distinguish your lock screen from others.

Complications can also be enabled here too, from the Apple Watch.

Notifications are seeing improvements, with "live activities" where you can create new widgets to track news, an Uber ride, workouts, and more.

Focus sees improvements, with an extension to its lock screen. These can change depending on the focus you've set, so "Meeting" can change your lock screen to a wallpaper and widget that involves that focus.

Focus Filters also block tabs in Safari, accounts in Mail, events in Calendar, etc. to further limit your workflow.

For iOS 16, "unsend" has arrived for Messages to prevent the embarrassing message you were about to send, but this is only from iPhone to iPhone.

SharePlay is also coming to the app, so you can stream a movie on Disney Plus and share it with someone in Messages.

Dictation has been turned off, which means you can speak a message at a much faster rate than before.

Tap to Pay on iPhone is also coming to iOS 16, removing the need for point-of-sale terminals.

There's also Apple Pay Later, which splits purchases into three payments, and you can keep track of that in Wallet.

There's also order tracking, so you can see the latest information about your Apple Pay orders.
