Google Cloud Next, Microsoft MVP and Adobe Summit go virtual with coronavirus

Three other major tech conferences were canceled and turned exclusively online events after the global coronavirus epidemic. Google Cloud Next, scheduled to take place April 6-8 in San Francisco, Microsoft MVP Summit (scheduled March 16-20), and Adobe Summit (March 29-April 2) were affected. All three are the latest to join the long list of major tech events canceled due to the threat of the coronavirus.

A statement posted on the Google Cloud Next website indicates that the online event will take place from April 6 to 8. Google has announced that it will give access to all attendees to the virtual event and plans to reimburse the cost of tickets, as well as the cost of your hotel stay. Earlier this week, Nvidia announced that its GTC conference, scheduled to take place in San Jose from March 22-26, will also be converted to a virtual event due to health concerns. Notably, the GSMA had to suspend its annual Mobile World Congress event last month, and Facebook's F8 developer conference was affected as well. The GDC or games developer conference has also been postponed to a later date. Companies like Twitter and Facebook have also banned all non-essential employee travel, the former also replacing physical interviews with virtual ones as a precaution. Google and Microsoft are expected to host their developer conference in the coming months. Although there are no official announcements on Microsoft Build and Google I/O at this time, these events may also become virtual events. Via: The Verge | ZDNet
