Apple reveals a very special Time to Walk guest ahead of tomorrow's big event

Apple is celebrating International Women's Day with a month of Time to Walk episodes hosted by inspiring women, starting with a special episode hosted by Malala Yousafzai.

Time to Walk is a feature on your Apple Watch that encourages you to go for a walk. Launched in January 2021 when much of the world was in lockdown, it is designed to keep you company as you wander alone in the form of "episodes" narrated by famous personalities, including actors, musicians, activists and athletes.

During each episode, the guest will tell you stories from their life, illustrated with photos that will appear on your watch at key moments. At the end of the episode, you'll hear three meaningful songs chosen by the guest, which you can add to your own playlist if you're an iTunes subscriber.

In her episode Time to Walk, tells how a great friend can make you feel at home anywhere in the world and shares photos of his entire life.

To download the new episode, open the Fitness app on your iPhone and tap on the Fitness Plus tab. Look for Walking time, then tap See all. Find the episode and tap "Download" to save it to your Apple Watch.

Analysis: what else is coming?

The new episode of Time To Walk with Malala Yousafzai will be released on March 8, when Apple will also host its first big event of 2022.

We're not expecting any major Apple Watch news at the unveiling (which is usually the focus of the company's September events). Instead, we're hoping to get a first look at the iPhone SE 3, which appears to be the first SE phone to support 5G.

We could also get a first look at the iPad Air 5, which could also be 5G compatible, and which would have a new front camera for improved video calls. Up to three new Macs could also be up for grabs, a possible mix of laptops and desktop devices.

We'll bring you all the news from the event, along with expert analysis on every announcement, so stick with TechRadar to make sure you don't miss a thing.
